Overview

Red Crow Community College is a public Indigenous (First Nations–operated) post-secondary institution located on the Kainai (Blood Tribe) reserve in southern Alberta, Canada. Established in 1986, it was the first tribal college in Canada and is dedicated to providing culturally grounded education rooted in Blackfoot knowledge and traditions. The college offers certificate, diploma, and degree programs—often in partnership with universities like the University of Calgary and University of Lethbridge—along with adult education, upgrading, and community training. With a strong focus on Indigenous culture, community development, and applied learning, Red Crow prepares students for both academic advancement and meaningful roles within their communities.
